Cookie Policy
Last updated: Sept 27, 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Modularity Labs (“Carouse”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites (carouse.app and my.carouse.app, and their sub-pages).
1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. They help a site work, remember your choices, and measure usage.
We also use similar tech like pixels, SDKs, local storage, and tags. In this policy, we call them all “cookies.”
2) How we classify cookies
- Strictly necessary (always on): required for security, login, and load balancing.
- Analytics (consent-based where required): help us understand visits and fix issues.
3) Cookies and tools we use
Strictly necessary
- First-party session and authentication cookies (Firebase Auth for login and preferences).
- CDN/load-balancer cookies (keep the site fast and reliable).
Analytics
- PostHog: product and site analytics (pages, events, performance). We use PostHog for analytics only. See our Privacy Policy for how the site-to-app funnel is measured across carouse.app and my.carouse.app.
We do not run advertising or third-party ad-measurement cookies.
4) Legal basis and consent
- We rely on legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies.
- We get your consent before using analytics cookies where required (e.g., EU/EEA, UK).
- Your choices apply by category and can be changed anytime.
Manage preferences: Use the cookie banner when you first visit to accept or decline analytics.
5) How to manage or delete cookies
- Use the cookie banner to turn analytics on or off.
- You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect some features.
6) Data sharing and retention
- Providers process data under our instructions to run analytics.
- We retain cookie data only as long as needed for the stated purpose or as required by law.
- We don’t sell personal data.
7) Region-specific notes
- EU/EEA/UK: we use prior consent for non-essential cookies; refusal keeps only strictly necessary cookies.
- US/Other: we honor local requirements and provide opt-out choices via the cookie banner.
8) Updates
We may update this page if our tools or laws change. Check the “Last updated” date.
